BECOME A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS
Some Important Facts:
- There are many Catholics in nursing homes who are not within the boundaries of their parish.
- Many residents are not tracking enough to call a priest for Confession or Annointing.
- Most nursing homes have non-Catholic spiritual activities persons. Some are not sure how to contact a priest in time of need.
Top 5 Things YOU Can Do to Help!
- Request that your local care facilities have an open door policy that allows for regular scheduled Confession and Mass times.
- Submit bulleting and pulpit announcements to your parish office
- Invite church members to visit and pray with care facility residents
- Help keep lines of communication open between nearby parishes and facility pastors
