Step 1: Identify and search within your parish boundary for a care home
Step 2: Form a small group to visit and pray with your loved one/friend at the care home
Step 3: Enlist the help of the care home to assist in meeting the spiritual needs of residents, meet with the activity director and schedule a weekly prayer time as practicable. Ask if they could promote the weekly prayer time on the care home calendar and or flyers. Educate them on the spiritual needs of Catholic Residents.
Step 4: Pray/teach the Rosary or Devine Mercy with your loved one and invite all other residents
Step 5: Enlist your loved one to join the mission by inviting their friends to the prayer time, supply residents with rosaries ,prayer cards (holy reminders)
Advocate for your loved one and others to complete the Spiritual Living Will (available on our website) many times care home staff hands are tied to call a Priest without it.
Keep awareness of your loved one and their friends in case they need and or request to have a Priest called
Provide the Parish Priest who is within the boundary of the care home with the exact name and location of who is requesting The Sacraments
